Subject:      THREAT ADVISORY- CAUTION TO BE EXERCISED BY GOVT OFFICIALS ALSO

Dear Sir,

I am directed to refer to the subject noted above and to state that the overall threat level has significantly increased due to recent spike in terrorist activities, towards attempts of assassination and kidnappings of officials of LEAs and SFs. Several incidents of Security Forces (SFs) and Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) personnel, including those on leave, being kidnapped and martyred are being reported. The phenomenon is constantly being seen in Tank, D.IKhan, Lakki Marwat and Bannu regions.

2.                     During the Muharram holidays, government officials travelling to their native areas may be particularly vulnerable to these militant activities.

3.                     In light of the forgoing, all officers and officials are strongly advised to exercise caution and avoid conspicuous and known travelling patterns. It is imperative that concerned authorities implement necessary measures to mitigate any potential risks in the days leading upto the 10^th of Muharram and beyond.

4.                     Kindly also inform your subordinate and connected offices/attached formation.
