ORDER.

No. SO (IS-II)1-1/2004. WHEREAS, Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Department vide letter dated September 16, 2024 informed that Medical & Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT). 2024 is scheduled to be held on 22nd September, 2024 by the University of Health Sciences, Lahore for admission to all Public and Private Medical/Dental Colleges in Districts: Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, D.G. Khan, Sahiwal, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Gujrat & R.Y. Khan. It has been requested to impose Section 144 of “the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898” to ensure safe and sound environment and to prevent disturbance of public peace and tranquility in the examination centers of the aforementioned cities.

2.         AND WHEREAS, Government of the Punjab, has reasons to proceed under Section 144 of “The Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898” to prevent disturbance of public peace and ensure smooth conduct of Examination.

3.         NOW THEREFORE, Government of the Punjab in exercise of powers vested under Section 144 (6) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898, do hereby, prohibit the following acts during the above said test on 22nd September, 2024 in the designated examination centers of MDCAT at Districts: Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, D.G. Khan, Sahiwal, Rawalpindi. Sargodha, Gujrat & R.Y. Khan.

  1. Entering of any person other than bona fide candidate(s) of the aforesaid test holding a valid roll number slip from the concerned authorities or member(s) of the supervisory staff deputed for conduct of examinations, in an area of 100 yards around the examination centers of the said examination.
  2. Holding of protest /demonstration of any kind in the said earmarked area.
  3. Carrying of books, guides or solved papers, relevant material, digital diaries, mobile phone set & weapon into the said prohibited zone of 100 yards of the examination centers by any candidate, any supervisory staff or any person before or during the hours of Test.
  4. Use of Un-fair means by students, invigilators and supervisory staff.
