PIA Announces Holiday for Kashmir Solidarity Day 2025 – Official Update:
Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has officially declared February 5, 2025, as a public holiday in all its offices and establishments across Pakistan in observance of Kashmir Solidarity Day. This decision aligns with the annual tradition of honoring the struggle of the Kashmiri people and expressing support for their right to self-determination.
As per Office Order No. 02/2025, all PIA offices in Pakistan will remain closed on this day. However, employees working in shifts and operational areas will have their leave managed accordingly to ensure smooth airline operations. The directive follows the policies outlined in Chapter-17 (Clause 17.12) of the Personnel Policies Manual.
This notification serves as an important update for PIA employees and stakeholders, ensuring that operations remain unaffected while observing this national day of solidarity. Notification Describes;

HOLIDAY ON ACCOUNT OF KASHMIR SOLIDARITY DAY IN PAKISTAN ONLY
1. Reference Office Order No. 01/2025, dated 06 January, 2025 notifying Holidays in the calendar year 2025 to be observed in PIA’s offices/ establishment in Pakistan.
2. Wednesday, the 5th February, 2025, shall be observed as closed holiday in PIA’s Offices/establishments in Pakistan on account of Kashmir Solidarity Day”.
3. Leave for employees in shifts and operational areas will be so arranged as to prevent any dislocation in the PIA’s services. For the purpose of day(s)-off, if any, instructions contained in Chapter-17 (Clause 17.12) of Personnel Policies Manual, will apply.
