Sindh Government Directs Officers to Expedite Official Work:
The Government of Sindh has issued strict directives to all officers in the Local Government & Housing, Town Planning Department to ensure timely processing of official matters and files. This decision comes after reports of inefficiency and unnecessary delays, leading to a backlog of pending files and displeasure from higher authorities and the Honourable Courts.
As per the latest official notification, all subordinate officers must ensure:
✅ Timely movement and disposal of files to avoid unnecessary delays.
✅ Swift handling of court and litigation matters to prevent legal complications.
✅ No file should remain pending for more than three days—strict disciplinary action will be taken against non-compliance.
The government has emphasized that failure to follow these instructions will result in disciplinary proceedings. This initiative is aimed at improving efficiency, ensuring accountability, and maintaining a smooth workflow within the department.

CIRCULAR
NO. E&A(LG)/MISC/2025: It has been observed that a majority of officers in this department are not performing their duties efficiently, leading to the delay in the disposal of official matters/files. Files are being left unentertained for several days, causing unnecessary backlogs, and displeasure by high-ups and the Honourable Courts.
All subordinate officers are hereby directed to ensure timely disposal and movement of files to avoid delays in official matters. This includes the swift handling of court and litigation matters as well.
If any file/reference is found pending in the office for more than 3 days, disciplinary proceedings shall be initiated/recommended against the delinquent officer.
