Punjab Examination Commission Announces Item Bank Generation Workshop–Official Notification Inside

Punjab Examination Commission to Hold School-Based Assessment Workshop 2025:

The Punjab Examination Commission (PEC) has officially announced an Item Bank Generation and Review Workshop for School-Based Assessment (Grade 1 to 8) 2025. This initiative aims to enhance the quality of assessment materials by involving practicing teachers in the process of psychometric and qualitative item review. The workshop will ensure that all assessment items align with the Assessment Policy Framework and subject assessment guidelines.

Scheduled to take place from February 17 to February 25, 2025, at the Punjab Examination Commission, Township, Lahore, the workshop requires teachers to bring their laptops and relevant textbooks. Teachers participating in the workshop will receive remuneration as per PEC rules. District Education Authorities have been directed to ensure the participation of selected teachers from their respective districts.

2.                     As per Assessment Policy Framework, the Punjab Examination Commission has planned item bank generation workshop for School Based Assessment (Grade 1 to 8) 2025. For the said purpose, the participation of practicing teachers in item bank generation has a key role in psychometric & qualitative review of items and mapping of items as per subject assessment frameworks.

3.                                    Following are the details of the workshop:

Venue:                               Punjab Examination Commission, Township, Lahore

Grades:                             1 to 8

Schedule:                          17^th — 25^th February, 2025

Reporting Time:            9:30 am

Requirements:               All teachers to bring along:

1. Laptop
2. Textbooks of relevant grades

4.                                    You are requested to direct the teachers of your district (List Attached) to attend the workshop at the venue and schedule given above.
