Subject: PAYMENT OF PUBLIC DUES THROUGH CROSS CHEQUE,
The undersigned is directed to refer  the subject noted above a. highlight that this office has received different complaints regarding payment of public dues through open Cheque in violation of FTR-157 and 158 and instructions issued from time to time by this office. The worthy Accountant General Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, feeling a strong apprehension that such irregular practice may result into fraudulent payments at some stage has therefore, strictly directed that all payments in settlement of Government dues be made via cross cheques to the Payee Account Only. It is pertinent to mention that in case of any mishap as apprehended the DCA/DAO concerned would personally be responsible please.
