SUBJECT: SUBMISSION OF DECEASED QUOTA CASES
I am directed to refer to this department letter bearing No.D.Q.1(12)/2024/211, dated 13th October, 2024. on the subject noted above and to state that the same is withdrawn subsequent to the order passed by the Honourable Supreme Court of Pakistan (announced in the open court on 18.10.2024) in Civil Petition No.3390 of 2021, whereby the Apex Court held recruitment against Deceased Quota under Rule 11-A of the Sindh Civil Servants (Appointment, Promotion and Transfer) Rules. 1974, to be violative and discriminatory to fundamental rights guaranteed in the Constitution.
2.                   In compliance with the above order of the Apex Court earlier instructions contained in this department’s above letter stand cancelled and henceforth the contents of the supra cited court order are to be adhered.
