Directive on Mandatory IBAN Status Update for Pension Payments – Notification

Subject:          UPDATION OF IBAN STATUS

The office has consistently emphasized the importance of updating the IBAN status in the light of directions issued by the Controller General of Accounts, Islamabad in this regard.

It has come to our attention that CNICs and IBANs of payees, especially pensioners and family pensioners, are still not fully available / authenticated in the system despite repeated instructions.  Accordingly, payment to all payees without valid CNIC sad IBAN recorded in the system be stopped forthwith.

(This issues with the approval of Deputy Accountant General (DAO-C)
