Gilgit-Baltistan Government Announces Major Officer Transfers – Key Updates:
The Government of Gilgit-Baltistan has issued an official notification regarding major administrative reshuffling of officers in key positions. According to the Services, General Administration, and Cabinet Department, several DMS/BS-18 officers have been transferred with immediate effect due to administrative needs and in the public interest.
Among the prominent changes, Mr. Anayatullah has been posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Tangir, while Mr. Sher Afzal has been reassigned to ADC Gupis/Yasin. Additionally, Mr. Akram Khan will now serve as ADC Darel, and Mr. Ghulam Ali has been appointed as ADC Roundo. Furthermore, Mr. Iqbal Jan, who was awaiting a posting, has now been designated as Administrator Zakat & Usher.
These transfers are aimed at ensuring efficient governance and streamlining administrative operations in Gilgit-Baltistan. Such changes are common in government departments and are necessary for maintaining smooth operations and effective service delivery.

No. SO(S)-I-2(39)/2025. Mr. Anayatullah (DMS/BS-18), currently posted in Communication & Works Department, Gilgit-Baltistan is hereby transferred with immediate effect and posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner, Tangir on administrative grounds and in public interest.
2. Mr. Sher Afzal (DMS/BS-18), currently posted as Administrator Zakat & Usher, Gilgit-Baltistan is hereby transferred with immediate effect and posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner, Gupis/Yasin on administrative grounds and in public interest.
3. Mr. Akram Khan (DMS/BS-18), currently posted as Settlement Officer, Gilgit is hereby transferred with immediate effect and posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner, Darel on administrative grounds and in public interest.
4. Mr. Ghulam Ali (DMS/BS-18), currently posted as Additional Commissioner, Baltistan Division, Skardu is hereby transferred with immediate effect and posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner, Roundo on administrative grounds and in public interest.
5. Mr. Iqbal Jan (DMS/BS-18), currently awaiting posting in S&GAD, Gilgit- Baltistan is hereby transferred with immediate effect and posted as Administrator Zakat & Usher on administrative grounds and in public interest.
