In an official handout issued on February 26, 2025, the government announced that there will be no restrictions on the sale or slaughter of meat during this sacred month.

Under clause (3) of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province Economy of the Food (Prohibition & Serving of Meat) Order 1973, restrictions on meat sale and slaughter were previously imposed to regulate food consumption. This policy aims to ensure food availability during Ramadan without unnecessary supply chain disruptions.

All stakeholders, including meat sellers, hotel owners, and food service providers, are advised to stay informed and comply with relevant hygiene and safety regulations while selling and serving meat products.
