Digital Transformation of Land Records in Punjab: A Major Step Towards Transparency:
The Punjab Board of Revenue is taking a significant leap towards digital governance with the introduction of computerized records of rights for selected estates in Tehsil Taunsa. Effective from February 17, 2025, landowners and stakeholders will now have access to digitized records, ensuring greater transparency, efficiency, and security in land transactions.
The estates included in this transition are Mauza Vatti and Mauza Vewa Chak Janobi. With this modernization, all current mutations and fard holder registers related to these revenue estates will now be available at the Arazi Record Center, Tehsil Taunsa. Furthermore, the attestation of mutations will be suspended for a brief period from February 10 to February 17, 2025, after which all mutations will only be processed through the digital system at designated record centers.
This initiative aligns with the Punjab Government’s broader vision of modernizing land record management to eliminate corruption, reduce property disputes, and enhance public convenience. Citizens will benefit from quicker access to property records and improved security in land ownership transactions. Please find the notification below;

The shift to computerized land records is a significant move that will bring efficiency, security, and accuracy to Punjab’s land management system. By eliminating manual record-keeping, the risk of errors, fraud, and delays in land-related transactions will be significantly reduced. Property owners and buyers in Tehsil Taunsa can now experience a streamlined process with quicker fard issuance, registration of deeds, and mutation verification at designated Arazi Record Centers (ARC, QARC, MARC & DMM).

Those dealing with land records must ensure they obtain the required documentation from the Arazi Record Center to avoid any inconveniences.
