Subject: OMISSION OF RULE 17-A IN THE PUNJAB CIVIL SERVANTS ACT 1974.
Reference to Notification No. SOR-III(S&GAD) 2-60/2024 by Government of the Punjab, Services & General Administrative Department (regularization Wing) dated Lahore the 24th July 2024 on the subject cited above.
It is stated that the Government of the Punjab, Services & General Administrative Department (Regularization Wing) has amended Civil Servants Act 1974 dated 26-07-2024.
AMENDMENT:-
“In the Punjab Civil Servants (Appointment and Conditions of Services) Rules, 1974 Rule 17-A shall be omitted”
In this regard, you are hereby directed to follow the instruction/amendment in said notification and stop all proceedings on cases under rule 17-A till further order/clarification.
