Sheikhupura Education Officers Face Performance Allowance Suspension:
In a decisive move to enhance accountability in the education sector, the District Education Officer (M-EE), Sheikhupura, has issued a directive to stop the performance allowance of multiple Assistant Education Officers (AEOs) due to their poor performance during the monitoring visits by MEAs (Monitoring & Evaluation Assistants).
The decision comes in reference to an earlier directive (Letter No. 149/M&E dated 14-01-2025), which clearly stated that the concerned officers would be held responsible for unauthorized teacher absenteeism during inspections. Following this, a performance review for January 2025 found several officers failing to meet required standards.
As a result, the performance allowance for these AEOs has been stopped, and the concerned departments have been directed to comply with immediate effect. This action highlights the Punjab government’s commitment to improving education quality and ensuring strict accountability in government schools. Please find the official notification below:

SUBJECT: STOPPAGE OF PERFORMANCE ALLOWANCE
Reference to the subject cited above.
It is stated that the undersigned issued direction to all the concerned officers vide letter No. 149/ M&E dated 14-01-2025 that the concerned officer will be held responsible/ accountable for the consequences of un-authorized absenteeism teachers during the visit of the MEAs. The following officers showed poor performance during the month of January-2025. Detail is under:-
1. Mr. Zubair Anjum, AEO, Markaz Bahrian.
2. Mr. Mazhir Qayyum, AEO, Markaz Farooqabad City.
3. Mr. Muhammad Zeeshan, AEO, Markaz Farooqbad Gaon.
4. Mr. Ulfat Hussain, AEO, Markaz Mirza Virkan.
5. Mr. Atta Ur Rehman, AEO, Markaz Jewan Pura.
6. Mr. Noman Yaseen, AEO, Markaz Ferozwatwan.
7. Mr. Zulnoon Haider, AEO, Markaz Sharqpur City.
In this regard you are directed to stop the performance allowance of above said Assistant Education Officers for the month of January-2025 under intimation to this office.
