Sindh Government Forms New Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) for BPS-16 to BPS-18 Promotions-Notification

Sindh Government Reconstitutes Departmental Promotion Committee:

The Government of Sindh’s School Education & Literacy Department has officially reconstituted the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) to oversee promotions from BPS-16 to BPS-18. This decision follows the SGA&CD (Regulation Wing) Circular dated March 7, 2022, and the SGA&CD advice dated January 17, 2025. The restructuring aims to streamline the promotion process within the School Education & Literacy Department, ensuring fair and merit-based career advancements.

The newly formed DPC will be responsible for evaluating promotion cases of eligible officers across various directorates under the School Education & Literacy Department. The committee comprises high-ranking officials, including the Secretary of the Department as Chairman, along with additional secretaries, directors, and section officers as members. Their primary role is to ensure a transparent and efficient promotion process, thereby improving administrative efficiency in the education sector.

This reconstitution reflects the Sindh government’s commitment to enhancing the career progression of educators and administrative personnel working under the department.
