Sindh’s Education Department Requests Urgent Provision of Tents to Ensure Safe Schooling During Torrential Rains-Notification

Subject:-        REQUEST FOR PROVISION OF TENTS FOR SCHOOLS DURING RAINY SEASON

I am directed to refer to the subject noted above and inform that after summer vacation the academic activities in the schools throughout province are in full swing. In the mean time a wave / season of torrential rains is going on and further has been predicted throughout country and Sindh province is no exception.

In this regard it may be added that necessary instructions have been communicated to all field offices of this department that, keeping in view above position the classes should not be commenced in dilapidated / dangerous school buildings and report of such buildings may be forwarded to Chief Engineer Education Works.

Further the school Education & Literacy Department intends to carry out academic activities during this wave / season of torrential rains and it is not possible to run classes in dangerous buildings. In this regard it has been decided that the classes / academic activities of such school buildings are to be continued in tents.

It is therefore requested that 500 numbers of school tents may be provided at the earliest for above purpose.
