Notification of New Policy Guidelines for Ex-Pakistan and Study Leaves in Punjab Higher Education

Subject:            POLICY GUIDELINES

I am directed to refer to the subject noted above and to state that Competent Authority, Secretary Higher Education Department has desired to submit all the cases of Ex-Pakistan Leave / Study Leave in accordance with the following policy guidelines.

Ex-Pakistan Leaves

• While submitting such cases, the candidate will submit each Affidavit & Surety Bond amounting to Rs 2.5 million separately

STUDY LEAVES

• At the time of submission of study leaves, the candidate will submit an affidavit affirming that he / she will serve the Higher Education Department atleast for a period of five years (05) and in case of resignation from the Higher Education Department employment in other Department / Organization, he/she will deposit Rs. 2.5 million in Government Treasury or the amount drawn during the study leave (whichever is higher).
• In case a candidate is granted study leave but does not complete the degree, he / she will deposit the amount drawn by his / her during this study leave period.
• In a case an officer/official is granted EOL for study purpose but does not complete the degree, he / she will deposit the amount of 2.5 million in Govt. Treasury

NOTE:         These conditions will also be appended in Leave Orders.
