Subject: Cancellation of Weckend Holidays (Saturday & Sunday) of Departments Declared as Essential Services Departments
I am directed to refer to the subject cited above and to state that weekend holidays (Saturday & Sunday) of the following departments, declared as essential services under Azad Jammu and Kashmir Essential Services (Maintenance) Act, 2016 are cancelled with immediate effect and until further orders :-
1) Divisional and District Administration of Management and Revenue Department.
2) Police force and agencies under Home Department
3) Power Generation and Electricity distribution department
4) Health and Preventive health care including Primary and Secondary Health Services
5) Public Health Engineering
6) State Disaster Management Authority and Rescue Services
7) Local Council Services under Local Government & Rural Development Department.
8) Food Department
9) Inland Revenue Department
10) Services & General Administration Department
11) Finance Department
12) Physical Planning & Housing Department
13) Communications and Works Department
14) Population Welfare Department; with addition that Doctors and Paramedical staff of the department shall remain at the disposal of Health Department during this period.
15) Energy & Water Resources Department
16) Civil Defence
