Sindh Government Announces Promotion Meeting for Librarians:
The Government of Sindh has taken a significant step toward career growth for librarians in the College Education Department by scheduling a Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) meeting. The meeting, chaired by the Secretary College Education Department, is set to take place on February 26, 2025, at 12:00 PM in Karachi.
As per the official notification, this meeting will evaluate and finalize the promotion of Librarians (BS-17) to Senior Librarians (BS-18) in government colleges across Sindh. Relevant officials, including representatives from the Services, General Administration & Coordination Department and the Director General of Colleges, Sindh, have been instructed to attend the session.
This promotion initiative aligns with the Sindh government’s efforts to enhance the education sector, ensuring that qualified librarians receive due career advancements. Such steps will contribute to improving library management and academic resources in public colleges.

SUBJECT: MEETING REGARDING PROMOTION OF LIBRARIAN (BS-17) TO THE POST OF SENIOR LIBRARIAN (BS-18) (MALE SIDE) OF COLLEGE EDUCATION DEPARTMENT GOVT. OF SINDH.
I am directed to refer to the subject noted above and to state that a meeting of Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) under the Chairmanship of Secretary College Education Department has been fixed on 26-02-2025 at 12.00 P.M in Committee Room 3rd Floor, Building No.06, to consider the promotions of Librarians (BS-17) to the post of Senior Librarians (BS-18) of College Education Department Government of Sindh Karachi.
02. It is requested to attend the above said meeting as per the scheduled date, time and venue.
