Walton Cantt Board Issues Notice Over Public Nuisance Concerns:
The Walton Cantonment Board, Lahore, has issued an official public nuisance notice under Section 118 of the Cantonments Act 1924. The notice addresses the installation of a large pigeon cage on a residential rooftop in Nishat Colony, Walton Cantt, which has reportedly caused inconvenience to neighbors and obstruction in flight paths.
According to the Cantonment Executive Officer, such installations can create public safety hazards, disrupt the urban environment, and must be removed immediately to avoid legal action. The property owner has been given 15 days to comply with the directive, failing which the Walton Cantt Board will take direct action for removal at the owner’s expense.
Authorities emphasize that public safety and urban regulations must be upheld for the well-being of residents and to maintain order within cantonment areas. Citizens are urged to adhere to building and zoning regulations to prevent legal penalties.

SUBJECT: Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â NOTICE UNDER SECTION 118 (PUBLIC NUISANCE)
1.                          Whereas it has been brought to the notice of undersigned that you have kept large number of pigeons and installed Pigeon Cage on your roof top, which causes immense hurdle in flights and public nuisance / inconvenience especially for the neighbours. This is an offence under Section 118 of the Cans Act 1924,
2.                          laview of foregoing, you are therefore, hereby directed with this notice to remove the above said Pigeon Pigeon Cage within 15 days from the date of receipt of this notice, failing which, the same will be removed through the agency of Cantt Board Walton at your own risk and cost.
3.                          This notice is issued without prejudice for strict compliance.
