Delegation of Registration Powers to Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars in Designated Divisions – Notification

Lahore, dated the 11^th October, 2024

NOTIFICATION

No.2400-2024/2480 -E(F)IV.- In exercise of the powers conferred under section 6 of the Registration Act, 1908 (XVI of 1908). Governor of the Punjab is pleased to confer powers to register deeds upon all Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars of Gujranwala, Sahiwal and Multan Divisions, in addition to already appointed Sub-Registrars of corresponding jurisdiction as under, with immediate effect:

1. Naib Tehsildars to act as Sub-Registrar for the Revenue Circles assigned to them as Revenue Officer; and
2. Tehsildars to act as Sub-Registrar for the entire Sub-Division of their posting.

2.                     The Deputy Commissioner concerned shall ensure stringent monitoring of the officer mentioned above with strong checks and balances.
