CIRCULAR NO-01/2024-25
SUB: AMENDMENTS IN THE MINIMUM WAGES FOR UNSKILLED WORKERS ORDINANCE, 1961.
The Chief Commissioner of Islamabad Capital Territory has been pleased to fix the minimum monthly wages of Un-Skilled workers and the Juvenile Workers in all the Industrial/commercial establishments in the ICT, Islamabad and notified vide notifications No- ADLW-8(20)-ICT/2024-225 dated-08-08-2024 under Section-4 of the Minimum Wages Ordinance, 1961, read with Law & Justice Division Notification No.F-17(2)/Pub/80 dated-31-12-1980, w.e.f. 01-07-2024. Monthly minimum wages for unskilled workers have been revised in the following manner:
- Rs. 37,000/. w.e.f. 1st July, 2024
Both the Employer’s and Employees’ share of contribution will now be calculated on the basis of revised minimum wages notifications. Accordingly contribution shall be collected w.e.f. 1st July, 2024 as specified below.
i)Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â The Employer’s share of contribution, i.e., 5% of the minimum wages shall be calculated in the following manner:
– Rs. 1,850/- per insured person per month w.e.f. 1st July, 2024.
ii)Â Â Â Â Â Â Â The Employees’ share of contribution, i.e., 1% of the minimum wages shall be calculated in the following manner:
- Rs. 370/- per insured person per month w.e.f. 1st July, 2024.
