NOTIFICATION

No.F.7(1)Exp-IV/2023-24: In pursuance of the approval of the Prime Minister, the following Austerity Committee is hereby constituted with immediate effect:-

1. Finance Secretary:                                                                                               Chairman
2.    H Additional Secretary (Exp)                                                                                 Secretary
3. Senior/Joint Secretary (Exp) concerned                                                            Member
4. Co-opted member / representative of sponsoring Ministry / Division, if needed   Member

2.                   The TORs of the Committee shall be as under:-

1. To ensure implementation of Austerity Measures and periodically review the measures;
2. Invite proposals from Principal Accounting Officers (PAOs) for curtailing expenditures;
3. Issue further directions to PAOs for rationalization of expenditure from time to time; and.
4. Approve proposals for relaxation of the Austerity Measures, where absolutely necessary.
