Gilgit-Baltistan Government Revises Office Hours for Ramazan 2025:
The Government of Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) has officially announced the adjusted office timings for the Holy Month of Ramazan 2025. As per the latest government notification, the new schedule applies to all public sector offices operating under a 5-day and 6-day workweek system.
According to the notification issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), offices that follow a 5-day workweek will function from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM (Monday to Thursday) and 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM on Fridays. Meanwhile, offices that operate on a 6-day workweek will follow 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM (Monday to Thursday & Saturday) and 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM on Fridays.
These changes align with the Establishment Division Islamabad’s directive to facilitate government employees during the fasting hours of Ramazan 2025. The notification has been officially approved by the competent authority and is now in effect. Notification Describes;

OFFICES WORKING ON 5-DAYS A WEEK BASIS
Monday to Thursday | 09:00 am to 03:00 pm |
Friday | 09:00 am to 12:30 pm |
OFFICES WORKING ON 6-DAYS A WEEK BASIS
Monday to Thursday and Saturday | 09:00 am to 02:00 pm |
Friday | 09:00 am to 12:30 pm |

Government Offices in GB to Follow New Work Hours During Ramazan:
The adjusted office hours for government employees in Gilgit-Baltistan ensure that public sector work continues efficiently while accommodating the needs of employees observing fasting during Ramazan 2025. These timings will remain in effect for the entire month and revert to normal after Eid-ul-Fitr.
