Gilgit-Baltistan Increases Upper Age Limit for BS-1 to BS-17 Government Jobs–Notification Issued

The Government of Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) has introduced a major relief for job seekers by extending the upper age limit to 40 years for recruitment in government jobs. As per the latest government notification, this extension applies to regular posts from BS-1 to BS-15 and project/contract-based posts from BS-1 to BS-17 in all government departments of GB.

This decision was taken in the 14th meeting of the GB Cabinet held on December 15, 2024. The new age relaxation policy is effective immediately and will remain in force until December 31, 2025. The move is aimed at expanding employment opportunities and allowing more candidates to apply for government jobs in GB.

In pursuance of the decision of Gilgit-Baltistan Cabinet in its 14^th meeting held on 15^th December, 2024, the Governor Gilgit- Baltistan/Competent Authority has been pleased to enhance the upper age limit upto 40 years including all relaxations for recruitment to the posts from BS-1 to BS-15 on regular side and BS-01 to BS-17 against the project/contract posts in all the departments of Government of Gilgit-Baltistan with immediate effect till 31^st December, 2025.
