Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) Issues Updated AMI Meter Charges:
The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has officially announced revised capital costs for new AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) electricity connections in the AMI project area. This decision follows the 239th meeting of the IESCO Board of Directors, where the revised charges were approved based on recommendations from the Technical, Customer Services, Strategy, and Project Approval Committee.
According to the latest Government Notification, the new rates apply to Single Phase, Three Phase, and CT-PT meters, covering new connections, Meter Change Orders (MCO), and Reconnection Orders (RCO). These changes are aimed at ensuring transparent pricing and efficient meter installation across the designated AMI project zones.
This update is crucial for IESCO customers looking to apply for new electricity connections or meter replacements. The revised charges take effect from February 14, 2025, and all NGSC applications submitted on or after this date will be processed under the updated cost structure. Please find notification:

SUBJECT: CAPITAL COST OF NEW ELECTRICITY CONNECTIONS FOR AMI METERS IN THE AMI PROJECT AREA.
Reference: This office letter vide No 7408-19/GM/IESCO/CSD(s) dated 26-06-23 alongwith Decision of 239th meeting of the IESCO board of directors held on 27th January 2025 for which minutes of meeting received through Company Secretary IESCO Islamabad vide No 101-06/CS/BoD dt 3-02-25
With reference to above, it is apprised that the Board of Directors IESCO resolved to approve recommendation of the Technical, Customer Services, Strategy and Project Approval Committee for proposed connection charges for new connections, Meter Change Orders (MCO) and Reconnection Orders (RCO) for installation of AMI meters in the AMI project area as per following details:

View forgoing above, it is advised to implement the same in true letter and spirit and issue demand notices to the IESCO customers in AMI project area as per above new rates against NGSC applications received as on or after 14-02-2025.
