Degree Verification Deadline Extended for Punjab College Staff – Act Before April 30:
In a recent development, the Directorate of Public Instruction (Colleges), Punjab has officially extended the deadline for HEC degree verification. This step has been taken to accommodate delays reported by various educational institutions across the province.
As per the Government Notification dated 04 April 2025, the new final date for degree verification is April 30, 2025. Every officer under the jurisdiction of the Punjab Higher Education Department must complete or initiate the verification process through HEC’s online portal before this cutoff. Failure to comply may result in administrative consequences.
Principals of General and Commerce Colleges in Punjab are instructed to strictly monitor their staff’s compliance. No further extensions will be granted, making this the final opportunity for staff to fulfill this requirement.

SUBJECT: EXTENSION OF DEADLINE FOR HEC DEGREE VERIFICATION
In view of the reported delays in the degree verification process with the Higher Education Commission (HEC), the Competent Authority has approved an extension of the deadline for submission of verified degrees.
The new deadline for HEC degree verification is April 30, 2025. By this date, every officer must have either completed or initiated the verification process. Failure to do so may result in necessary administrative action.
Principals are directed to continue monitoring the progress of degree verification. This extension is granted to accommodate ongoing challenges; however, officers are strictly advised to ensure compliance within the revised timeframe. No further extensions will be granted.
