Notification- Federal Directorate of Education has announced new, reduced hours for educational institutions under its jurisdiction due to the extreme Hot Weather

Islamabad the 17^th May, 2024.

Subject: TIMINGS FOR EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS (FDE) DUE TO EXTREME HEATWAVE

I am directed to refer on the captioned subject and to say that extreme heat wave is predicated in the country during upcoming week. In prospect of health & safety of students, it is decided that all educational institutions working under the ambit of Federal Directorate of Education shall observe the following timings w.e.f. 20^th May, 2024 till further order:

• For Single Shift Institutions:                                      07:30 am to 01:00 pm (Mon-Thu)
  07:30 am to 12:00 pm (Friday)
• For Double Shift Institutions:

• For Pre-I (Montessori / Prep):                                   07:30 am to 11:30 am (Mon-Friday)
• Ex-F.G. Colleges:                                                       07:30 am to 01:00pm / 04:00pm (Mort-Thu)
  07:30 am 10 12:00 (Friday)

05minutes Morning assembly shall be held in the classrooms. 10 minutes break shall be given.

2. All Area Education Officers are requested to disseminate and implement these timings in true letter and spirit across all institutions in their respective sectors.

3. This issues with the approval of Deputy Director General “Policy” FDE.
