Punjab Government to Hold Pre-PSB-I Meeting for Officer Promotions:
The Government of Punjab has announced the Pre-Provincial Selection Board-I (Pre-PSB-I) meeting, scheduled for March 21, 2025, to review promotion cases for BS-19 and BS-20 officers in the School Education Department. This meeting, chaired by the Secretary (Services), S&GAD, will take place at 2:00 PM at the department’s office in Lahore.
The primary objective of this meeting is to scrutinize the promotion cases of both male and female officers before presenting them to the Provincial Selection Board-I (PSB-I). According to the S&GAD’s policy circular dated June 4, 2020, it is mandatory for the Secretary of the concerned department to attend this meeting personally to ensure due diligence in the scrutiny process.
The meeting agenda includes regular promotions of 114 female officers and 182 male officers from BS-19 to BS-20 based on the updated seniority list as of January 1, 2025.

SUBJECT: MEETING OF THE PRE-PROVINCIAL SELECTION BOARD-1/ SCRUTINY COMMITTEE.
I am directed to refer to the subject noted above and to inform that a meeting of Pre-PSB-I/Scrutiny Committee has been scheduled to be held on 21st March, 2025 (Friday) at 02:00 P.M. in the office of Secretary (Services), S&GAD to scrutinize the promotion cases pertaining to your Department. Agenda of the meeting is enclosed herewith.
2. As per S&GAD’s policy circular letter dated 04.06.2020, the Secretary of the Department concerned must personally attend the Pre-PSB meeting so as to make the Pre-PSB exercise more meaningful with the view to ensure that due diligence has been done on the cases to be placed before the PSB-I for proper assistance of the Board.
3. It is, therefore, requested to kindly make it convenient to attend the meeting on the aforementioned date and time.
