Punjab Schools Closed for Summer Vacations 2025 – Complete Schedule Announced:
In a much-anticipated move, the Government of the Punjab, School Education Department has officially declared the summer vacation schedule for the year 2025. As per the latest government notification dated 20th May 2025, all public and private schools across the province will observe summer holidays starting from 28th May 2025 to 14th August 2025. However, in a special instruction, afternoon schools will commence their break earlier, starting from 21st May 2025 and continuing until 14th August 2025.
This move comes as part of the department’s annual policy to ensure the safety and comfort of students during the peak of the summer season. The decision applies uniformly to all educational institutions, and the reopening date for all schools has been fixed for 15th August 2025. The Chief Executive Officers (DEAs) of each district have been directed to ensure strict implementation of these orders.

NO. SO(A-1)1-31/2022. Pursuant to approval of the Competent Authority, it is hereby notified that all schools (Public and Private) in province of the Punjab shall remain closed w.e.f. 28.05.2025 to 14.08.2025 for summer vacations.
2. Moreover, all afternoon schools shall remain closed w.e.f. 21.05.2025 to 14.08.2025.
3. All schools in the Province of Punjab shall reopen w.e.f 15th August, 2025.
4. All Chief Executive Officers (DEAs) are directed to ensure compliance of the orders.
