Punjab Government Announces Summer Vacations 2025 for Colleges – Here’s What You Need to Know:
The Government of the Punjab, Higher Education Department has officially declared summer vacations for all public and private colleges across the province. As per the latest government notification issued on 20th May 2025, colleges will remain closed from 28 May (Wednesday) to 14 August (Thursday). All academic activities will resume on 15 August 2025 (Friday).
However, in a key clarification, the BS 4-Year Degree Programs will continue to operate as per the academic calendar of their respective universities. In addition, board exams and university practical exams will be held according to the already notified schedules, and students must stay prepared accordingly.
This announcement will help students, faculty, and parents to plan their summer accordingly. For students of BS programs, it’s crucial to check their university calendars to stay on track. Please find notification:

No.SO(G)MISC/2025. It is hereby notified that all public and private sector colleges in Punjab shall remain closed from 28-05-2025 (Wednesday) to 14-08-2025 (Thursday) for summer vacations. All public and private sector colleges in the province shall reopen from 15-08-2025 (Friday) resuming all classes.
2. BS 4-year Program(s), however, shall continue to function as per the academic calendar of the respective universities. Furthermore, all examinations/ practical examinations shall be held as per the notified schedules of respective Boards and Universities.
