Punjab Education Department Offers Top-Level Opportunities for Experienced Educators:
The Government of Punjab has taken a significant step toward revamping the educational leadership system by announcing high-level Director Public Instruction (DPI) positions in the School Education Department (SED). According to the latest Government Notification issued on 20th May 2025, applications are invited from serving BS-19 or BS-20 officers for DPI (Secondary Education/Elementary Education) posts in Punjab and South Punjab.
This merit-based recruitment aims to bring forward competent, experienced, and visionary educationists to lead the sector. The eligibility criteria include a Master’s degree, minimum 3 years of administrative experience, age under 57 years, and relevant training. The selection will involve an interview and PowerPoint presentation before the Departmental Search Committee.

ANNOUNCEMENT
NO.SO(SE-I)1-427/2024(PHASE-III): The School Education Department intends to select/appoint suitable candidates for the posts of Directors Public Instruction (DPI) (SE/EE), Punjab / South Punjab through a transparent, competitive and merit-based system in order to provide equal opportunities to all aspiring teachers, as per the following criteria:
1. ELIGIBILITY

| 01 | DPI (SE/EE) | Serving in BS-19 or BS-20;Not more than 57 years of age;Masters’ degree in any subject;At least 03 years administrative experience;Training courses;No major penalty during entire service. |
Note: Experience as DPIs, Directors, Additional Directors, CEOs, DEOS, DDEOS, Principals, Senior Headmaster/Headmistress, Headmaster/Headmistress would be considered as administrative experience.
2. SELECTION PROCESS
The selection of the DPIS (SE/EE) shall be made on the basis of interview by the Departmental Search Committee. The shortlisted/eligible candidates would be required to make a PowerPoint presentation about their past performance and suitability for the post to the Departmental Search Committee.
3. GENERAL
I. Aspiring teachers shall apply online ONLY by using his/her login till 25th May 2025.
II. No TA/DA shall be admissible.
III. Applications received through ordinary post/by hand shall not be considered.
