Punjab School Education Department Announces Promotions for Assistants & Head Clerks:
The Punjab School Education Department has officially announced the promotion of several Assistants and Head Clerks (BS-16) to Superintendent (BS-17). This promotion comes after the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) meeting held on January 31, 2025. The decision aims to fill vacant posts and improve administrative efficiency within the department.
According to the official government notification, a total of seven officials have been promoted and adjusted across various offices in Kasur, Jhang, Sheikhupura, Lahore, and Rajanpur. The promoted officers are expected to join their new postings within 15 days; failure to do so will result in forfeiting their promotion, as per Punjab Civil Servants regulations.
This promotion not only rewards the hard work of these officials but also strengthens the School Education Department’s operational framework. Below is the official notification with full details of the promoted employees and their respective postings.. Notification Describes;

SUBJECT: UPDATION OF DENGUE HOTSPOTS ON DASHBORD
No.SO(PENSION)9-4/2025: Consequent upon the recommendations of Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC), in its meeting held on 31.01.2025, following Assistants/Head Clerks (BS-16) are hereby promoted to the rank of Superintendent (BS-17) on regular basis, with immediate effect.
2. Upon promotion, they are posted/adjusted against vacant posts mentioned against their names as under:

7. | Mr. Shahid Ayaz, Assistant (BS-16), O/O DEO (M- EE), District Rajanpur. | As the date of superannuation of the officer has expired on 03.02.2025, therefore, upon promotion as Superintendent (BS-17) on regular basis he is hereby posted/adjusted in the office of DEO (SE), Rajanpur, against a vacant post w.e.f. 02.02.2025 i.e. one day before his retirement for actualization of his promotion under Section 8(7) of the Punjab Civil Servants, Act, 1974. |
TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. In case, the officers fail to join their new assignments within 15 days after the issuance of their posting orders, they shall be deemed to have forgone their promotion. The effect of foregoing of promotion entails supersession as clarified in the Regulations Wing, S&GAD instructions bearing No.SOR-II(S&GAD) 2-132/2002 dated 03.02.2003 read with No. SOR-II(S&GAD)2-167/2010, dated 12.11.2010.
2. The incumbents will not confer any right for their transfer before completion of tenure of three years as prescribed by School Education Department.
