DPI South Punjab Orders Immediate Action on Lab Equipment Availability in Schools:

In a recent and urgent move, the Directorate of Public Instructions (Secondary Education), South Punjab, has issued a strict directive to all District Education Officers (SE) to ensure the availability of laboratory equipment in science labs across schools. This follows earlier correspondence through letters dated 24-01-2025 and 11-03-2025, in which school heads were already instructed to fulfill lab requirements.

However, despite prior communication, it was found during field visits that several schools under the South Punjab region have not yet complied with the instructions. The DPI (SE) has now issued another official reminder, demanding immediate action and a compliance report without delay.

This development is critical for school administrators, teachers, and policymakers, as science education relies heavily on practical exposure. The absence of proper lab instruments not only hampers student learning but also violates BISE Multan’s standards. Please find notification:

SUBJECT:             COMPLIANCE REGARDING AVAILABILITY OF LABORATORY EQUIPMENT IN SCHOOLS

                        It is to inform you that the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Multan has already issued instructions to the concerned school heads to ensure the availability of all requisite equipment in science laboratories, vide this office letter No. 45/ACC dated 24-01-2025 and No. 20/ACC dated 11-03-2025.

                        During the field visit, it is also noted that some schools have not yet ensured the availability of the required instruments in their laboratories.

                        You are, therefore, directed to take immediate necessary action and ensure that all schools under your jurisdiction comply with the instructions contained in the above-referred letters. A compliance report must be submitted to this office at the earliest.
