Sindh Education Department Issues Final Reminder for BPS-16 Clarification of Teaching Cadres Upgradation–Final Reminder Issued

Sindh Govt’s Second Reminder on Scale Upgradation for Teaching Cadres Stirs Urgency:

The School Education & Literacy Department (SELD), Government of Sindh, has issued Reminder-II on 13^th May 2025, concerning the pending submission of crucial data for OT (Oriental Teachers), DT (Drawing Teachers), PET (Physical Education Teachers), SLT (Senior Language Teachers), WI (Workshop Instructors), PT, Junior PET, and Senior PET who were initially appointed in BPS-09, are running in BPS-14, and have been awarded BPS-16.

Despite the original directive issued on 10^th March 2025 and a first reminder on 14^th April 2025, the necessary data from the Directorate of School Education offices in Karachi, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Shaheed Benazirabad, Sukkur, and Larkana is still awaited. SELD has now stressed the urgent need to furnish cadre-specific details on the prescribed proforma for submission to the Finance Department.

This matter directly affects hundreds of government school teachers eagerly awaiting confirmation of their upgraded pay scales, making it a high-priority issue in the provincial education administration. Please find notification:

                        I am directed to refer to this department’s letter of even number dated 10.03.2025 followed by reminder dated 14.04.2025, on the subject noted above and to state the requisite information in the matter is still awaited.

2.                     You are therefore, requested to expedite the matter and furnish details of teachers of other cadre (PT/Jr. PET/Sr. PET) on the prescribed proforma (attached) as soon as possible to this department for onward submission to Finance Department, for taking further necessary action as per rules/policy.
