Green Initiative: Sindh Schools to Plant Thousands of Trees for Environmental Sustainability:
The Government of Sindh has officially announced a tree plantation campaign in all government schools under the directives of the Minister for Education & Literacy. This initiative aims to enhance greenery, promote environmental awareness among students, and contribute to climate change mitigation efforts.
As per the notification issued by the Directorate of School Education (Elementary, Secondary & Higher Secondary), Sukkur Region, all secondary and higher secondary schools are required to plant 30 trees, middle and elementary schools must plant 20 trees, and every school should maintain at least 10 potted plants. The goal is to engage students in environmental conservation efforts and foster a sense of responsibility for nature.
School authorities have been directed to ensure active participation from students and staff, with progress reports and photographs to be submitted online for monitoring and evaluation.

SUBJECT: Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â TREE PLANTATION.
                             It is to inform you that the Honourable Minister for Education & Literacy, Government of Sindh, has directed the launch of a tree plantation campaign in all government schools. This initiative aims to enhance greenery, combat climate change, and instill a sense of responsibility among students toward environmental conservation.
                             Therefore, you are directed to initiate a tree plantation campaign on the school premises following the upcoming spring season. Students should be encouraged to actively participate in planting and nurturing trees to develop an appreciation for nature and its benefits. Each Secondary and Higher Secondary School should plant 30 trees, each Middle and Elementary School should plant 20 trees, and every school should maintain 10 potted plants (Gambla).
                             Your personal attention to this matter is required, as it is a high priority in the best interest of environmental sustainability. A report on the progress of the campaign, along with photographs, may be submitted to official webportal of directorate for documentation and evaluation.
