Empathy, Kindness & Unity to Shine in Punjab Schools – SED Launches “Sharing is Caring” Theme for May 2025:
The School Education Department (SED) Punjab has announced a unique and heartwarming initiative for the first half of May 2025 (01.05.2025 to 15.05.2025) under the theme “Sharing is Caring.” This notification, marked as MOST IMPORTANT, instructs all Chief Executive Officers (DEA) across Punjab to organize awareness-based, educational, and collaborative activities that promote kindness, empathy, and community support.
Public schools across the province will engage students in classroom discussions, teamwork projects, charity work, art competitions, and Islamic storytelling sessions. The goal is to instill values of generosity and gratitude while strengthening the sense of togetherness within schools.
Key highlights include:
- Art contests, poetry writing, and story reflections
- Volunteer days, clean-up drives, and food distribution
- Sharing personal items, school supplies, and gratitude gestures

2. I am directed to state that School Education Department aimed to foster a sense of empathy, kindness and community within our schools that encourage students to think about how their actions can positively impact others. By sharing their time, resources, and talents, they can build stronger relationships and create a more supportive environment for which the Competent Authority has declared the theme of the month as “Sharing is Caring” to celebrate theme of the Month of May, 2025 (1 half of the Month) 01.05.2025 to 15.05.2025. Following activities and events in Public Schools across Punjab shall be arranged by involving Parents, Teachers and Community Members, promoting a collaborative effort to arrange and organize it in a befitting manner:

3. I am further directed to request you to ensure that all schools in your district participate in these activities and celebrate the theme of the month with enthusiasm and fervor. A consolidated weekly report be furnished at the end of week including pictorial evidences of all activities / tasks to this department via e-mail ddm2.cmmf@gmail.com and WhatsApp groups.
