Promotion Alert: DPI Punjab Calls for Complete DPC Documents–Notification:
In an important development under the banner of Government Notifications, the Directorate of Public Instruction (Secondary Education), Punjab has issued fresh instructions for the promotion of SST teachers (General Cadre) from BS-16 to BS-17. The directive refers to the DPC (Departmental Promotion Committee) meetings held on 19th and 21st August 2024, concerning the promotion cases of both male and female teachers.
This notification emphasizes the urgent need for the completion of pending documents and removal of deficiencies raised during the DPC. All DEOs (SE) in Punjab are now directed to submit performance evaluations (PER), school results, service certificates, and other verification documents duly attested and countersigned with official dispatch numbers.

SUBJECT: OBSERVATIONS / QUERIES OF THE DPC MEETING HELD ON 19.08.2024 (FEMALE-STY NO. 01 TO 1111) & 21.08.2024 (MALE – STY. NO. 01 TO 1045) FOR PROMOTION FROM BS-16 TO BS-17.
Reference to the Govt. of the Punjab School Education Department, Lahore No. SO(P-II)6-1/2025(M) dated 09.04.2025 as well as this letter No. 5062/AD(PC-I) dated 03.12.2024, 5064/AD(PC-I) dated 03.12.2024 & No. 5181/AD(PC-I) dated 17.12.2024 of this Directorate regarding the subject cited above.
It is stated that the cases of SSTs BS-16 (General Cadre) as per notified seniority corrected upto 31-12-2008 for promotion as HM / Dy. HM / SS / AD or other equivalent posts of BS-17 (Male – STY. No. 01 to 1045) & (Female-STY No. 01 to 1111) on regular basis.
You are once again requested to please complete all the deficiencies raised in the above mentioned DPCs i.e. (19.08.2024-Female & 21.08.2024-Male)
Furthermore, you are requested to provide the following documents as desired by the Competent Authority. The detail is as under:
- PER for the year-2024 with synopsis complete in all respects.
- School result for the year 2024 with board comparison according to the Performa already conveyed duly attested by the DEO (SE) concerned.
- Fresh No Enquiry, No Demand, No Audit Para, No Punishment & Service certificates.
- No Bogus Signatures on PER/Documents Certificate.
- No Bogus Degrees Certificate.
- No LPR/Retirement Certificate.
- Life Certificate.
Note: All the above mentioned documents must be countersigned by the DEO (SE) concerned along-with Dispatch Number and Date.
