Punjab Announces Revised Public School Timings for Summer 2025:
The Government of Punjab has officially revised the summer session timings for all public schools across the province. The new schedule, effective from April 1, 2025, to October 15, 2025, aims to accommodate students and teachers during the hot summer months while ensuring effective academic learning.
According to the Punjab School Education Department, schools operating in single shifts and double shifts will follow updated morning and afternoon schedules. Additionally, teachers are expected to utilize their extended hours for lesson planning, professional development, and co-curricular activities.
All District Education Authorities (DEAs) have been instructed to strictly implement the new schedule, with penalties for non-compliance. Furthermore, CEOs (DEA) may allow a 15-minute flexibility in opening and closing times for boys’ and girls’ schools on a case-to-case basis.

NO.SO(A-1)1-31/2022: In continuation of this department’s notification dated 26.03.2025 regarding summer session 2025 timings for Public schools in Punjab, the following revised school timings during summer session w.e.f 01.04.2025 to 15.10.2025 is hereby notified with immediate effect which shall be observed in all Public schools in the Punjab:
A. FOR STUDENTS

2. All Chief Executive Officers(District Education Authorities) in Punjab are directed to ensure strict compliance of orders. Any negligence or non-compliance by CEOS (DEA) will be dealt with in accordance with the law.
Note: The Chief Executive Officer (DEA) concerned may make adjustment of 15-minutes gap in opening and closing time of boys & girls schools on case-to-case basis.
