Sindh Government Declares Summer Vacations for All Colleges from June 1st, 2025:
In a recent development, the Government of Sindh, College Education Department has issued an official government notification confirming summer vacations across all public and private colleges in the province. As per the decision made during the Sub-Committee of Steering Committee on Education meeting held on 28th November 2024, all colleges under the administrative control of the department will remain closed from 1st June to 31st July 2025.
This decision applies to institutions across the province and aims to ensure the safety and well-being of students and staff during the intense summer heat. The notification also clarifies that board examinations will be conducted as per the pre-announced schedule and will not be affected by the vacation period.
Principals of colleges have been advised to maintain college infrastructure and ensure regular upkeep during the holidays. Please find notification:

NO:SO(A&T-I) Steering Comtt:/9-1/2018: In pursuance of the decision taken in the meeting of Sub-Committee of Steering Committee on Education held on 28th November 2024, the summer vacation for all Public and Private Educational Institutions under the administrative control of College Education Department, Government of Sindh will be observed with effect from 01.06.2025 to 31.07.2025.
- The examinations will take place as per the schedule already announced by respective Boards.
- The Principals are requested to ensure regular upkeep of the colleges during the vacation period.

The College Education Department has emphasized that principals must ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of campuses during this period. It’s also a reminder that while students may enjoy the holidays, responsibilities toward academic duties, pending exams, or supplementary preparations must not be overlooked.
