Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority Office of General Manager Finance (Coord,) Finance Division (Regulations) No. FO(B&F)/10-126/Ind/Vol-27/2234-83                                                    Dated 12/08/2024 OFFICE ORDER Sub:-   GRANT OF AD-HOC RELIEF ALLOWANCE — 2024 The Authority has been pleased to sanction Ad-hoc Relief Allowance-2024 as per following rates for all WAPDA employees working against Basic Pay Scales:- BPS-1 to 16                 @25% of Running Basic Pay BPS-17 and above      @ 20% of Running Basic Pay 2.         The said allowance:- i).   will be subject to Income Tax. ii).   will be admissible during leave and entire period of LPR except during extra ordinary leave. iii).  will not be treated as part of emoluments for the purpose of calculation of Pension/Gratuity and recovery of House Rent. iv).  will not be admissible to the employees during the tenure of their posting/ deputation abroad; and v).  will be admissible to employees on their repatriation from posting/ deputation abroad at the rate and amount which would have been admissible to them had they not been posted abroad. 3.         The term “Basic Pay” for the purpose of Ad-hoc Relief Allowance-2024 will also include the amount of Personal Pay granted on account of annual increment(s) beyond the maximum of the existing pay scales. 4.         This order is effective from 1st July, 2024. The rate of Adhoc Relief Allowance-2024 is as under: i. BPS-1 to 16 @ 25% of Running Basic Pay ii.
