OFFICE OF THE DISTRICT MAGISTRATEISLAMABAD CAPITAL TERRITORYISLAMABAD No. 20(21)-HC (G)/2024 Dated: 07.10.2024 NOTIFICATION In exercise of the powers confer upon me under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898, and in view of the upcoming SCO Summit 2024 to be held in Islamabad, it is hereby notified that: October 16, 17, and 18, 2024, are hereby declared as public holidays in Islamabad Capital Territory. All government offices, educational institutions, and private organizations shall remain closed on these dates. 2. Prohibition of Public Gatherings: In accordance with Section 144 of Cr.P.C., all forms of public gatherings, processions, rallies, demonstrations, and events are strictly prohibited during the mentioned dates This measure is taken in the interest of maintaining public order and ensuring the safety and security of the summit proceedings. 3. Cancellation of NOCs: All No Objection Certificates (NOCs) previously issued for any public events, rallies, or gatherings scheduled for October 16, 17, and 18, 2024, are hereby cancelled with immediate effect No public events shall be allowed during this period. 4. Enforcement of Section 144: The enforcement of Section 144 Cr.P.C. is now in effect, and any violations, including unauthorized public gatherings or events, will result in legal action as per the law.
