In line with its commitment to providing quality education and effective administrative structures, the 20th Meeting of the Provincial Cabinet, chaired by the Honorable Chief Minister, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, addressed critical issues concerning the education sector. Among the notable decisions was the transfer of ownership of 100 Kanal government land from the Agriculture Department to the Elementary and Secondary Education Department for the construction of a permanent building for the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE), D.I.Khan. Since its establishment in 2006, BISE D.I.Khan has been operating in rented facilities, which limits its capacity to effectively manage the examinations of over 90,000 students annually. This cabinet decision reflects the province’s commitment to addressing these challenges by providing a permanent, purpose-built infrastructure to accommodate the board’s sensitive and vital functions. Presented By: SECRETARY E&SE, KHYBER PAKHTUNKHWA DISCUSSION:                         Secretary Elementary & Secondary Education presented the item and briefed the forum that that the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education D.I.Khan since its establishment in 2006 has been functioning in rented buildings and has presently occupied a rented building near Indus river. BISE D.I.Khan conducts examination of more than ninety thousand students annually and its activities and functions are of extremely sensitive and needs to be housed in a permanent building. Therefore, the BISE D.I.Khan approached the Deputy Commissioner D.I.Khan for identification of Government land for construction of their own building. The Deputy Commissioner D.I.Khan identified two government land sites as per requirement of BISE D.I.Khan at Mouza Ratta Kulachi, Khasra No. 581, 586 and 203 at Tehsil and District D.I.Khan under the administrative control of Agriculture Department. The team of BISE D.I.Khan visited the sites and found site No. Khasra No. 581 & 586, Mouza Ratta Kulachi, Tehsil and District D.I.Khan more feasible, which is currently under the control of Agriculture Department. The Cabinet was requested to approve the transfer of 100 Kanal Land in Mouza Ratta Kulachi, Khasra No. 581 & 586, Tehsil and District D.I.Khan from Agriculture Department to Elementary & Secondary Education Department for construction of building for BISE D.I.Khan. DECISION:                         The Cabinet approved the transfer of 100 Kanal land from Agriculture Department to Elementary & Secondary Education Department in Khasra No. 581 & 586, Mouza Ratta Kulachi, Tehsil and District D.I.Khan for construction of building for BISE D.I.Khan.
