The Health Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, through a letter dated January 3, 2025, has initiated a significant step towards the establishment of a medical college in District Karak under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mode. This development follows a proposal from the Honorable Minister for Agriculture, who suggested the use of state-owned land adjacent to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital Karak for the establishment of the medical college. The project, listed under the Health Annual Development Program (ADP) for 2024-25, seeks to explore all viable options for launching the medical college through the PPP framework. This initiative is part of the provincial government’s broader strategy to improve healthcare infrastructure and education in the region. A meeting has been scheduled to discuss the details and implementation of the project, bringing together key stakeholders from various departments. Notification Describes;

Subject :- Â Â Â Â Â ESTABLISHMENT OF MEDICAL COLLEGE KARAK ON PPP BASIS
                             I am directed to refer to copy of letter no. C/PPP/P&D/1-412023-24-1492-96 dated 21-10- 2024, received from the Research Officer-I (PPP), P&D Department, along with an enclosure wherein the Honorable Minister for Agriculture has proposed the establishment of a medical college in District Karak under the Health ADP (2024-25) project titled “240322 – Establishment of Medical Colleges in PPP Mode.”
                             The Honorable Minister for Agriculture has suggested utilizing ample state land adjacent to the DHQ Hospital Karak for the proposed medical college and has requested exploring all feasible options under the PPP mode to launch the project.
                             In light of the above, a meeting has been scheduled under the chairmanship of the Honorable Minister for Agriculture, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on 07-01-2025 at 1100 hrs in office of the Minister for Agriculture.
                             You are kindly requested to make it convenient to attend the meeting as per the mentioned date, time, and venue please.
