Sindh Government Takes Action Against Anjuman-e-Dairat ul Islam – Official Notification Issued:
In a significant move, the Government of Sindh has dissolved the managing committee of Anjuman-e-Dairat ul Islam, a registered society under the Societies Registration Act-1860, citing concerns over financial embezzlement and mismanagement. The decision follows a detailed recommendation from the Directorate of Industries & Commerce, which highlighted activities contrary to the interests of the association’s members.
To ensure transparency and restore trust, the government has appointed Mr. Naveed Anwar Mari (BPS-18), Chief Statistician, as the Administrator for 45 days. His key responsibilities include managing the society’s affairs, organizing a General Body meeting, and conducting free, fair, and impartial elections to elect a new Managing Committee as per the association’s bylaws and the Societies Registration Act-1860.

NOTIFICATION
NO.SOII(IND)14-145/2023: On the recommendation of Director, Directorate of Industries & Commerce vide his letter No.S-IND/DITWA/2025/01 dated: 31-01-2025. It has been noticed that the managing committee of “Anjuman-e-Dairat ul Islam” a society registered under Societies Registration Act-1860 vide registration number is working contrary to the Interest of members of the association and involve in financial embezzlement.
2. Now, therefore in exercise of the powers conferred under Section, 16-A of the Societies Registration Act-1860. The Managing Committee of “Anjuman-e-Dairat ul Islam”, is hereby superseded and Mr.Naveed Anwar Mari, Chief Statistician (BPS-18), Directorate of Industries & Commerce, Government of Sindh, Karachi, is appointed as “Administrator”, under clause (b) of sub section [2) & (3) of Section 16-A of the Societies Registration Act, 1860, for a period of 45-days, who during the said period, shall manage the affairs of “Anjuman-e-Dairat ul Islam”, convene General Body meeting and conduct free, fair & impartial elections in accordance with the registered bylaws of the association and under the provision of Societies Registration Act-1860 and hand over charge of the office of “Anjuman-e-Dairat ul Islam” to the newly elected “Managing Committee”.
