IBCC Approves Doubling of Ethics Marks as Interim Substitute for Religious Education:
The Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, through the Inter-Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC), has issued a critical notification regarding academic policy adjustments for Grades IX to XII. Following discussions in the 180th IBCC meeting held on November 18-19, 2024, at the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE), Islamabad, the forum approved the proposal from the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board (PCTB), Lahore. This decision authorizes the doubling of marks for the subject of ‘Ethics’ as an interim substitute for ‘Religious Education’ until the availability of its textbooks. NOTIFICATION
Consequent upon consideration in its 180th meeting held on 18-19 November, 2024 at FBISE, Islamabad, the IBCC Forum endorsed the proposal of PCTB, Lahore and resolved to double the marks of ‘Ethics’ for the subject of ‘Religious Education’ for Grades IX to XII up till availability of its textbooks.
