NO.D.Q.1(12)/2024/215 GOVERNMENT OF SINDH LAW, PARLIAMENTARY AFFAIRS & CRIMINAL PROSECUTION DEPARTMENT Karachi, dated 23rd October, 2024 To The Secretary to Government of Sindh (All) KARACHI SUBJECT:           SUBMISSION OF DECEASED QUOTA CASES I am directed to refer to this department letter bearing No.D.Q.1(12)/2024/211, dated 13th October, 2024. on the subject noted above and to state that the same is withdrawn subsequent to the order passed by the Honourable Supreme Court of Pakistan (announced in the open court on 18.10.2024) in Civil Petition No.3390 of 2021, whereby the Apex Court held recruitment against Deceased Quota under Rule 11-A of the Sindh Civil Servants (Appointment, Promotion and Transfer) Rules. 1974, to be violative and discriminatory to fundamental rights guaranteed in the Constitution. 2.                     In compliance with the above order of the Apex Court earlier instructions contained in this department’s above letter stand cancelled and henceforth the contents of the supra cited court order are to be adhered. SUB     PROHIBITION FROM POSTING/SHARING DEROGATORY REMARKS AND USING FILTHY LANGUAGE AT SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS AGAINST THE OFFICE BEARERS AND THE  MEMBERS PUNJAB BAR COUNCIL. Reference order of the Executive Committee Punjab Bar Council dated 31-8-2024, to the subject cited above. The Executive Committee Punjab Bar Council has been pleased to pass an order dated 31-8-2024 which is reproduced hereunder – “it has been observed by the Committee with grave concern that numerous incidents across the Province have been recorded through Social Media wherein the advocates used filthy language and derogatory remarks against the learned elected Office bearers of Bar Associations and the Punjab Bar Council while using Social Media Platforms. It is, therefore, publicized through the instant order that from now on if any advocate found involved in any negative activity e.g. Use of filthy language OR use of derogatory remarks Etc against elected Office bearers of Bar Associations and the Punjab Bar Council through Social Media or any other Platform, the same shall be treated Misconduct and strict action under the relevant provisions of Law shall be taken.” This is forinformation and compliance of Lawyers across Province of the Punjab.
