GOVERNMENT OF PAKISTANFINANCE DIVISION(Regulations Wing) No.F.4(2)-Reg.6/2007                                                                                                                                  Islamabad, the 13th July, 2007 OFFICE MEMORANDUM Subject:          GRANT OF INCREASE IN PENSION TO CIVIL PENSIONERS OF THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AS WELL AS RETIRED ARMED FORCES PERSONNEL The President has been pleased to sanction an increase in pension with effect from 1st July, 2007 to civil pensioners of the Federal Government including civilians paid from Defence Estimates as well as retired Armed Forces Personnel at the following rates: (i)         Pensioners who retired prior to 01.07.1997                                         20% (ii)       Pensioners who retired between 01-07-1997 to 30-06-2007               15% 2.         For the purpose of admissibility of increase in pension sanctioned in this O.M. the term ‘Pension’ means ‘Pension being drawn’. 3.         The increase will also be admissible on family pension granted under the Pension­-cum-Gratuity Scheme, 1954, Liberalized Pension Rules, 1977, on pension sanctioned under the Central Civil Services (Extra Ordinary Pension) Rules as well as on the Compassionate Allowance under CSR-353. 4.         If the gross pension sanctioned by the Federal Government is shared with any Government in accordance with the rules laid down in part-IV of Appendix III to the Accounts Code, Volume-It the amount of the increase in pension will be apportioned between the Federal Government and the other Government concerned on proportionate basis. 5.         The increase In pension sanctioned in this O.M. will not be admissible on Special Additional Pension allowed in lieu of pre-retirement Orderly Allowance. 6.         In case of re-employed pensioners, the increase in pension sanctioned in this Office Memorandum shall not be admissible to them during the period of their re-­employment. 7.         The benefit of Increase in pension sanctioned in this O.M. will also be admissible to those Civil Pensioners of the Federal Government who are residing abroad (other than those residing in India and Bangladesh) who retired on or after 15.08.1947 and are not entitled to, or are not in receipt of pension increase under the British Government’s Pension (increases) Acts. GOVERNMENT OF THE PUNJABFINANCE DEPARTMENT NO.FD.SR-111-4-136/2023                                                   Dated: Lahore, the 08th August, 2023 SUBJECT:     GRANT OF INCREASE IN PENSION TO CIVIL PENSIONERS OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE PUNJAB In continuation of this Department’s circular letter bearing even number dated 18-07-2023 on the subject noted above and to state that Governor of the Punjab has been pleased to sanction 17.5% increase in pension of retired government employees / civil pensioners w.e.f. 01.08. 2023. 2.                    The 5% increase in pension of retired government employees / civil pensioners upto 80 years of age and 20% increase to retired government employees / civil pensioners who are over 80 years of age on 01.07.2023 granted vide this Department’s circular letter referred to above are hereby withdrawn w.e.f. 01.08.2023. 3.                    The Para-3 of this Department’s circular letter referred to above is omitted. Moreover, the increase in the pension @17.5% shall not be admissible to those pensioners who retire on or after 01.08.2023. 4.                    All other terms & conditions mentioned in this Department’s circular letter bearing even number dated 18.07.2023 shall remain the same. GOVERNMENT OF BALOCHISTANFINANCE DEPARTMENT(Regulation-I)                                                                                                 Dated Quetta, the 11th July, 2023 NOTIFICATION: No.FD(R-I)II-29/2023/3719-3839.       The Government of Balcohistan is pleased to sanction an increase @17.5% of net pension with effect from 1st July, 2023 to all the pensioners of this Provincial Government. 2.                     This increase in pension @ 17.5% as mentioned at Para-1 above will also be admissible to the pensioners who would retire on or after 01-07-2023. 3.                     For the purpose of admissibility of increase in pension sanctioned in this Notification the term “Net Pension” means “pension being drawn” minus “Medical Allowance”. 4.                 The increase will also be admissible to all the family pensioners of Provincial Government under the Balochistan Civil Servant Pension Rules, 1989 as well as on the compassionate allowance under Rules 1.9 of the said rules. 5.                     If the gross pension sanctioned by the Provincial Government is shared with any Government in accordance with the rules, the amount of the increase in pension will be apportioned between the Provincial Government and the other Government concerned on proportionate basis. 6.                    The increase in pension sanctioned in this Notification will not be admissible on Special Additional Pension allowed in lieu of pre-retirement orderly allowance and monetized value of a driver or any orderly. 7.                     The benefit of increase in pension sanctioned in this Notification will also be admissible to those Pensioners of the Provincial Government who are residing abroad (other than those residing in India and Bangladesh) who retired on or after 15.08.1947 and are not entitled to or are not in receipt of pension increase under the British Government’s Pension (increases) Acts. Government of PakistanFinance Division(Regulations Wing) No.F. 15(1)-Reg.6/2023                                                                                Islamabad, the 05th July, 2023 OFFICE MEMORANDUM Subject:-              MINIMUM PENSION. The undersigned is directed to refer to Finance Division’s O.M. No. F. 15(1)-Reg.6/2018-644 dated 03.07.2018 on the subject cited above and to state that the President has been pleased to sanction with effect from 1stJuly, 2023, to increase in minimum pension from current rate of Rs.10,000/- per month to Rs.12,000/- per month to civil pensioners of the Federal Government including civilians paid from Defence Estimates as well as Armed Forces Personnel and Civil Armed Forces Personnel. 2.    Similarly, minimum family pension allowed to the family of a retired government employee including those paid from Defence Estimates as well as Armed Forces Personnel and Civil Armed Forces Personnel under the Pension-cum-Gratuity Scheme 1954, and Liberalized Pension Rules, 1977 has also been increased from current rate of Rs. 7,500/- per month to Rs. 9,000/- per month. 3.    Commutation of any part of the increase allowed vide this O.M. will not be admissible.
