Okara to Observe Local Holiday on 28th February for Hazrat Karmanwala Urs:
The Government of Punjab has officially announced a local holiday in Okara District on Friday, 28th February 2025, in observance of the Annual Urs of Hazrat Pir Syed Muhammad Ismail Shah Bukhari, commonly known as Hazrat Karmanwala. The Deputy Commissioner of Okara, Ahmed Usman Javaid, issued the order under the authority granted by the Punjab Services & General Administration Department.

In exercise of the powers conferred upon me vide Notification No. SOW-I (S&GAD)1-4/2018(P-V) dated 13.01.2025 issued by Government of the Punjab Service General Administration Department, Lahore I Ahmed Usman Javaid, Deputy Commissioner, Okara do hereby declare 28 February, 2025 (Friday) as Local Holiday throughout the district Okara on the eve of Annual Urs of Hazrat Pir Syed Muhammad Ismail Shah Bukhari alias Hazrat Karmanwala.
