Impact of the Ban on Union Activities in the Power Sector:

The government’s decision to suspend union activities in the power sector is a strategic step aimed at maintaining stability and operational efficiency in one of the most critical industries of the country. Labor unions have historically played a role in negotiating worker rights, but this temporary suspension is intended to ensure continuous service delivery and public welfare.

While this move may raise concerns among labor organizations, it underscores the government’s commitment to uninterrupted energy supply and national security. The restrictions will remain in place until July 2025, and any further developments will be closely monitored by stakeholders.
