New Federal Government Hospital to Be Established in Tharparker:
In a significant development for public healthcare in Sindh, the Government of Pakistan has announced the establishment of a Federal Government Hospital in Tharparker. This decision follows the Prime Minister’s visit to Tharparker on March 22, 2023, where he emphasized the urgent need for better healthcare facilities in the region.
According to the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations & Coordination (NHSR&C), the Standing Committee of the National Assembly has formally recommended this project, ensuring better medical services for the people of Tharparker. The Sindh Government has been requested to identify suitable land and submit a detailed feasibility report with cost estimates and timelines.
This initiative aims to address the healthcare challenges in the region and provide accessible medical treatment to the local population. SUBJECT: ESTABLISHMENT OF FEDERAL GOVERNMENT HOSPITAL AT THARPARKER (SINDH)
Reference to the Prime Minister Office’s directives No.635/DS(IA-V)2023 dated 3rd April, 2023 (Copy Enclosed) and recommendations of the Standing Committee of National Assembly on M/o NHSR&C during its meeting 28th February, 2025. It is informed that the Prime Minister of Pakistan, during a visit to Tharparker (Sindh) on 22nd March, 2023, issued instructions for the Establishment of a Federal Government Hospital in Tharparker (Sindh).
2. It is stated that the Prime Minister of Pakistan, during an official visit to Tharparker (Sindh) on 22nd March 2023, issued explicit directives for the establishment of a Federal Government Hospital in Tharparker to address the healthcare needs of the region.
3. In pursuance of the above directives and the recommendations of the Standing Committee, the Government of Sindh is hereby requested to:
- Identify and earmark suitable land at an appropriate location in Tharparker for the establishment of the Federal Government Hospital.
- Prepare and submit a comprehensive draft proposal, including the PC-II document, feasibility study, estimated costs, and tentative timelines, to facilitate further processing and approval by the competent authority.
